Motional Internship Project - PCB Test Probe Bench

In this project, I designed and built a custom PCB test probe bench easily adjustable to circuit board parameters with a high level of probe placement stability and accuracy. This project helped me develop my skills in making a product not just functional, but user-friendly.

Several models of PCB test probe benches already exist, the “home-made” versions being very unstable and hard to use for the most part. I researched previous designs, and not only designed the final product to be easily adjustable and sturdy, but also easily recreatable for future uses with not too high a cost. Figuring out the design of the arm that would hold the probe was definitely the most involved process, as I went through several designs and testing rounds.
